{"id":8,"date":"2024-04-26T15:21:38","date_gmt":"2024-04-26T15:21:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/community-technology-programme.org.uk\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2024-10-04T15:59:02","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T15:59:02","slug":"welcome","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/community-technology-programme.org.uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Welcome to the <strong>Community Technology Programme<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background has-medium-font-size\" style=\"background-color:#f9b60d\">Applications for Community Technology Programme 2025 are now OPEN<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/community-technology-programme\/community-technology-programme-2025\/\"><strong>CLICK HERE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Established in 2022, the programme is designed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>help charities and social enterprises with discounted or free support,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recognise that our business customers indirectly support those non-profits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn more about benefits of the programme, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/community-technology-programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a number of non-profits on the books (not just charities but also parish and town councils) and so far it is &#8211; thanks to the support of our business, charity and local government customers &#8211; sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Affordability Based<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Charities and social enterprises that can afford our services pay for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/what-we-do\/it-support-maintenance-services\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/what-we-do\/it-support-maintenance-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Block Hours Support Agreement<\/a> and qualify for the programme &#8211; benefiting from various discounts. The smaller and less well funded of these charities can also apply for an <strong><em>annual sponsorship<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smaller charities that are unable to commit to paying for ongoing support can instead apply for a <strong><em>project sponsorship<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual Sponsorship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year we invite local charities or social enterprises to apply for an annual sponsorship. If we have available resources we may meet the charity to get further detail and explore which parts of the project we can help with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an example, we recently assisted <a href=\"https:\/\/sheringhamsa.org.uk\/\"><strong>Sheringham and District Sports Association<\/strong><\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/2024\/02\/12\/sheringham-and-district-sports-association\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">moving their email provision from a selection of personal mailboxes to the Microsoft 365 platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Long Term Mission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is no secret that that the long term goals for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IT Norwich<\/a> are for it to become something like a worker owned company, a community interest company or even a full stakeholder co-operative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re still on the path to that goal, the Community Technology Programme has naturally become a key part of that journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Call To Action<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>If you are running a business that needs IT support <\/em><\/strong>&#8211; please consider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/newcustomers\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.itnorwich.uk\/newcustomers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contacting us<\/a> for a chat. Choose us as your IT support provider and &#8211; as well as receiving great service and support from some lovely people at competitive rates &#8211; you&#8217;ll be supporting a business whose goals include helping charities with lower cost and sometimes no cost IT support.
